Law enforcement agencies found jewelry in a bank safe deposit box.
This cell belonged to a former employee of the Dagestan branch of Rosselkhozbank.
The jewelry contained 1,814 diamonds, RIA Novosti reports.
During the investigation of the case, expensive earrings, rings, bracelets and brooches were seized from the cell.
The case materials indicate that the seized jewelry includes:
- five diamond rings;
- seven pairs of earrings studded with precious stones;
- a brooch and two bracelets decorated with diamonds;
- gold chain.
The defendants in the case are former employees of the Dagestan branch of Rosselkhozbank.
According to investigators, they helped the plant obtain a loan.
The director of a precision engineering plant in Dagestan himself was suspected of large-scale fraud involving a plot of land.
A criminal case has been opened against him.
