It has become known what may happen with gas supplies to Moldova.
The country may be left without energy resources if it does not pay Gazprom.
This is the conclusion reached by analysts from the RIA Novosti agency in their article.

It is noted that the main reason for concern for the Moldovan authorities is the uncertainty regarding the supply of Russian gas to the country.
Negotiations on extending the contract with Gazprom are not currently underway, so Moldova may soon be left without energy supplies.
In addition, according to the company's audit, Moldova owes Gazprom approximately $709 million, of which Chisinau acknowledged only $8.6 million and considers the rest of the amount non-existent.
Therefore, if the energy supplier wanted to, it could find workarounds to continue supplying gas to Moldova, but until the debt is paid, this is out of the question.
In this case, Chisinau intends to seek help from the European Union, however, according to analysts, Moldova will only be drawn into the abyss of regional spot trades, which will significantly increase the country's budget expenditures.
