Russians who registered their summer cottages and sheds under the summer cottage amnesty will face a new tax.
Once registered, owners will be required to pay property taxes annually.
This was reported to RIA Novosti by Tatyana Maksimova, head of the Countryside Real Estate department at Inkom-Real Estate.

The tax rate will be from 0.1% to 0.3% of the cadastral value of the building.
She explained that the higher the value of the property, the more tax will have to be paid.
According to the expert, summer residents also have advantages. They can be exempt from tax on one outbuilding with an area of up to 50 square meters.
Also, registered buildings can be insured, passed on by inheritance and receive compensation in the event of natural disasters.
Lawyer Assia Dmitrieva clarified that such real estate cannot be seized for road construction or state needs.
