Analysts from Focus Technologies reported that Russians have begun to buy clothes 10 percent less often due to high prices.

As experts noted, from June to August of this year, the number of people purchasing clothes and shoes has significantly decreased.

The head of research at Focus Technologies, Mikhail Vasiliev, also spoke on this issue in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.

According to Vasiliev, the reason for the existence of such a trend is the rapid growth of competition.

Refusal to purchase

The expert also noted that sellers in Russia and companies from Turkey, as well as from the Asian region, have been leaders in the market for a long time.

As Vasiliev pointed out, the said entrepreneurs have now occupied the sites once rented by their Western colleagues.

The analyst emphasized: “Russians have begun to buy clothes primarily out of need, rather than desire.”

In addition, according to the expert, “smart saving” is actively progressing today, which consists of choosing clothes for wide use.
