The Ministry of Economic Development warned Russians about the upcoming increase in electricity prices.
Tariffs will rise by more than 12 percent in 2025.
Natalia Churkina, an analyst at the Institute for Comprehensive Strategic Studies, told the PRIME agency about this.

According to the expert, tariffs will vary depending on the region:
- in the Amur region, services will grow by 8.6%;
- in Altai - by 8.8%;
- In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, electricity prices will increase by 9%.
But in Perm Krai and Kemerovo Oblast, services will grow significantly more - by 21.1% and 19.8%, respectively.
Speaking about Moscow and St. Petersburg, Churkina noted that electricity prices there will increase by 15% and 14.6%. The growth of tariffs depends on the pace in the municipalities themselves.
Overall, electricity prices will increase depending on the region in the range of 10 to 18 percent, with the average value reaching 12.6%, but this will not happen immediately after the New Year.
According to Churkina, the price increase should be expected on July 1, 2025.
