Experts told what is happening on the Russian secondary housing market.
There are preconditions for reducing the cost of apartments in this category.
In the summer of 2024, there is stable demand on the secondary market from buyers who do not need large loans, Kommersant writes.

Recently, the average price in large cities has increased by 0.5–0.6%.
But analysts note an increase in the number of offers. They accumulate and create preconditions for lowering prices through bargaining and discounts from owners.
By the beginning of August, the average cost per square meter in 18 major markets of the Russian Federation was 145.1 thousand rubles. Over the month, the increase was 0.6%.
The reason for the growth is related to the curtailment of the preferential mortgage program. This reoriented buyers from new buildings to the secondary market.
Some experts predict that these apartments will become 2-3% cheaper in the coming months.
