The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation announced the introduction of benefits that will affect families with children.
Airlines will be required to provide discounts on tickets to minors.
Vitaly Savelyev made this statement on the Rossiya TV channel, RIA Novosti reports.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister recalled that previously airlines had a loophole that helped them avoid providing discounts.
However, Vladimir Putin has now drawn attention to this problem during a direct line that took place on December 19. The head of state instructed the government and representatives of air carriers to resolve this issue by January 14 of next year.
It is noted that this is about providing families with children with discounts in the amount of 50% of the cost of air tickets. According to preliminary data, the benefits will apply to flights in economy class for children with Russian citizenship.
The relevant decision is being developed by the Ministry of Transport together with airlines. The final version will be developed by mid-January 2025.
