Some Russians expect salary increase on October 1

It has become known who may receive a salary increase from October 1.

The salaries of teachers at federal universities, medical workers, employees of federal state, budgetary and autonomous institutions, as well as civilian personnel of law enforcement agencies will increase by 5.1%.

This was reported in a conversation with RIA Novosti by Viktor Lyashok, a leading research fellow at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting at RANEPA.

However, only a limited number of workers are eligible for indexation, since most educational and medical organizations have regional status.

Lyashok explained that from October 1, salaries will increase for employees of federal universities, medical institutions and other federal state, budgetary and autonomous institutions.

Also, salaries will increase by 5.1% for civilian personnel of law enforcement agencies.

This year, the salaries of federal civil servants (judges, State Duma deputies) are not subject to indexation.
