The Central Bank of Russia announced the projected inflation in the country by the end of 2024.
The regulator's deputy chairman, Alexey Zabotkin, said that the figure corresponds to a value of 8-8.5 percent.
He added that the inflation rate will most likely tend to the upper limit and above the indicator, as emphasized in the TASS article.
According to the Central Bank's forecasts, inflation in the country by the end of the current year will amount to 8-8.5 percent.
Zabotkin recalled that the trajectory is currently close to or above the upper limit.
He also said that the leadership of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation does not support the idea of stabilizing the ruble as more effective than using the key rate.
A few days earlier, experts from the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting (CMASF) stated that inflation in December in annual terms would reach between 9.2 and 9.3%.
GDP growth for the year is expected to be 3.5–3.6%, instead of 3.7–3.8%, as predicted in October.
