In Russia, the schedule for paying indexed pensions has been partially changed.
The innovation will affect both working and non-working citizens of retirement age.
State Duma deputy Yaroslav Nilov spoke about the authorities’ decision in an interview with RIA Novosti .
The Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy reported that some citizens will receive indexed payments at the end of December.
This will affect Russians who usually receive their pension at the beginning of the month.
Initially, it was planned to start transferring funds from January 1, 2025.
But then it was decided to partially shift the payment schedule due to the long New Year holidays.
This means that some citizens will receive an indexed pension in the last days of December, and not in early January.
Nilov emphasized that payments will be transferred to both working and non-working pensioners. Funds for this are included in the budget.
For those who usually receive their pension in the middle or at the end of the month, the first indexed payment will be transferred according to the standard schedule, the deputy summed up.
The first indexation will be 7.3%. The second will take place on April 1 and in total pensions in 2025 will be increased by 14.75%.
