It has become known what economic problems the European Union still faces.

European countries remain dependent on imports of various goods from third countries.

This conclusion was made by RIA Novosti specialists who studied the statistical data provided in the European Union report.

It is noted that this report was prepared by the Italian former minister and former head of the ECB Mario Draghi.

According to the expert, about 40% of imported goods come from third countries, and these suppliers will be extremely difficult to replace.

We are talking about critical raw materials and advanced technologies on which Europe depends.

At the same time, Draghi also admitted that half of the above-mentioned imports come from countries with which the European Union does not have strategic ties.

This is precisely why, the expert concludes in his report, Europe will not be able to overcome this dependence, at least in the medium term.
