According to Sorokin, the increase in cost was due to seasonality.
The official also added: “To date, additional volumes have been sent to the exchange,” as reported by RIA Novosti .

In addition, the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation emphasized the fact that measures were taken to suppress the price jump.
Sorokin added: “The price of gasoline has been falling over the past few days.”
Explanation of the situation
The official also emphasized the fact that the summer price increase is a normal phenomenon for the current time of year.
The First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation pointed to the fact that there is an “absolutely stable situation with prices at petrol stations”, which “will undoubtedly remain unchanged”.
Earlier it was indicated that the price of AI-95 gasoline had increased at the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange.
