Recently, the country's public debt has begun to grow at double the rate.
RIA Novosti reports this. The agency's specialists studied statistical data from the US Treasury Department.
As the agency recalled, back in 2022, the US national debt amounted to just over $30 trillion, but subsequently began to increase at a high rate of growth.
Over the next 8 months, he added another trillion, and it took the same amount of time to add another trillion.
It took only 3 months to reach the 33 and 34 trillion marks, after which the growth slowed down sharply. The next record mark of 35 million was exceeded by the national debt only 7 months later.
However, now we can see the opposite trend. If the 35th million grew at a rate of 0.014% per day, then the 36th million grew at twice the rate and added 0.025% daily.
In numerical terms, instead of 4.8, 8.7 billion are added daily. It is planned that the US national debt will reach the 36 trillion mark in the middle of the current month.
