March is the perfect time to visit your favorite summer cottage and prepare it for the new season.
Even in this rather cold month you will have something to do here.
Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, scientist agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh will tell you what to do first in the garden.

Snow and melt water
Excess snow, if present, can be scattered over the beds, since the soil between them will melt earlier and will not allow moisture to disappear.
But it is better to get rid of excess melt water using transverse grooves, otherwise you risk being left without a fertile soil layer.
Seedling
March is the best time to sow seedlings:
- in the first half of the month - tomatoes, peppers, physalis and early varieties of white cabbage;
- In the second half of the month, it is time for late varieties of cabbage.
Greenhouses
It will soon be time to sow seedlings, so everything should be ready by that time.
Inspect the greenhouse: it may need some cosmetic repairs.
Then you should start preparing the insulated beds:
- remove snow from the beds;
- sprinkle with peat or ash;
- cover with several layers of film.
After the snow has completely melted, the beds should be watered with warm water and covered again. Soon the soil will be ready for sowing greens and early vegetables.
Preparing for landing
Without further ado, prepare potatoes and onion sets for planting. It is recommended to bring all planting material into a warm room a month before sowing.
