In February-March it is already time to sow seedlings, and in May this pepper can be transplanted into open ground.
Resistance to adverse weather conditions has become the most important criterion when choosing pepper seeds.
An expert of the online publication "TUT NOVOSTI", agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh recommended paying attention to a variety called "Kupets".

Its important characteristic is the ability to tolerate cold weather and go for a long time without watering.
Sowing for seedlings is carried out in February or March, and transplanting into open ground or a greenhouse can be done in May.
The bushes are classified as medium-sized – up to 90 cm. Usually 75-85 cm. The weight of the fruits ranges from 60 to 130 g.
High yield allows you to collect 1.3-2.2 kg of red fruits per square meter. This area can accommodate 4 bushes.
"Kupets" is resistant to moderate cold. If the temperature drops to +2 …+3 °C, the plants will survive it.
But lower rates will lead to the death of even the most cold-resistant varieties of pepper, the expert emphasized.
This variety is suitable for fresh consumption, all types of processing and preservation.
