Have you ever dreamed that your tomato seedlings would sprout so quickly that your neighbors would start suspecting you of witchcraft?
The incubator bag method is not magic, but a science based on recreating ideal tropical conditions.
The secret is that cotton fabric, unlike paper, does not mold and retains moisture longer, creating a stable environment for germination.

After soaking the seeds in hydrogen peroxide (1 teaspoon per glass of water), they are not only disinfected, but also saturated with oxygen, which “wakes up” the embryos. Adding 2 drops of the growth regulator Epin to the bag accelerates cell division, and carbon dioxide from your breath (when inflating the bag) works as a natural stimulant.
But be careful: if the temperature in the germination zone exceeds +30°C, the seeds will “cook”. Place the bag not directly on the radiator, but on a towel - this will soften the heat.
If roots have not appeared after 3 days, the reason may be old seeds. Check their germination in advance: wrap 10 pieces in a damp cloth for 24 hours. Less than 5 sprouted? Throw away the batch without regret.
After transplanting the seedlings into the soil, use a mixture of coconut fiber and vermiculite (3:1) - it is airy and does not contain pathogens.
Remember the typical mistake of beginners: who often water seedlings with cold water. Use only settled water at room temperature, otherwise growth will slow down.
Life hack for protection against black leg: add 1 tbsp of crushed activated carbon per liter of substrate to the soil - it will absorb excess moisture.
Indeterminate varieties (Black Prince, Bull's Heart) are ideal for this method, as their long growing season is compensated by an early start. But determinate tomatoes (Balcony Miracle) may bloom prematurely after accelerated germination, which will reduce the yield.
After picking, keep the seedlings under a phytolamp for 14 hours a day — the blue spectrum of light strengthens the stems. If the plants have stretched out, spray them with the "Athleta" solution (according to the instructions) — this will stop the growth of shoots and strengthen the roots.
10 days before planting in the ground, begin hardening: take the seedlings out onto the balcony, starting with 20 minutes in the shade, gradually increasing the time.
