Watering an orchid grown in sphagnum

The subtleties of watering a flower vary depending on where it is grown.

If the flower grows in sphagnum moss, then it can be watered like a regular houseplant. However, first make sure that the moss is definitely dry, since the orchid does not tolerate excessive moisture.

The best way to water demanding flowers is to submerge them in water. This way the orchid will take as much moisture as it needs.

This type of irrigation is carried out as follows:

  • immerse the flower pot into the container;
  • pour water to a level just below the edge of the pot;
  • After 15-15 minutes, take it out and wait until the excess drains.
