Gooseberry is a healthy berry from which delicious jam is made.
To ensure that the bushes produce a stable harvest every year, they need to be fed in the fall.
The plant can still be fertilized in October and then mulched. But it is important not to delay this procedure.

To increase the yield, superphosphate is added. Up to two tablespoons are allocated for one adult bush.
It is necessary to scatter the fertilizer and work it into the soil to a depth of 10 cm.
In addition, you can add potassium sulfate (up to 20 g per bush). This combination will give the best result next season.
It is recommended to combine gooseberry fertilizing with watering.
A folk method, for example, involves using potato peels. A liter jar of dried raw material is poured into a bucket and filled with 10 liters of boiling water.
The container is covered with a lid, left in a warm place, and after cooling, the plantings are watered at the roots.
For greater effectiveness, it is worth digging small furrows and pouring this folk remedy into them.
