Zamioculcas or dollar tree is propagated in different ways. Of these, two main ones are distinguished. For one, leaves are used, for the second - tubers.
But there is a third option for propagating your favorite plant. You will need a small cutting. The stem is about 5 cm long and has 3-4 leaves.
It is placed in water for a couple of weeks or a month. During this time, the cutting will release full roots and you can prepare the pot for planting.
Zamioculcas is one of those plants that does not require a huge pot.
The dollar tree will not begin to produce new cuttings until its root system fills the pot.
This method of propagation is considered something average. The leaves take a long time to grow roots. Months may pass.
At the same time, propagation by tubers also allows you to immediately get a full-fledged plant, but for this you need to have a zamioculcas that has grown well.
And this way you will be able to get fewer plants. From small cuttings you can create a whole "army" of zamioculcas, if you want.
