The very first and most important garlic feeding in spring: how to do it right

Have winter garlic sprouts appeared in the garden bed? This means it's time for the first feeding.

During this period, the emphasis should be on nitrogen fertilization to encourage the garlic to actively grow.

Expert of the online publication TUT NOVOSTI, agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what needs to be added first.

In early spring, ammonium nitrate should be used to feed garlic.

To prepare the working composition, dissolve a tablespoon of the product in a glass of water.

When the granules disperse, the solution should be poured into a bucket of water and mixed. This should be done immediately before adding the fertilizer.

You can also scatter granules directly on the bed if there is still snow. In this case, use 3 tbsp per square meter.

To create a complete complex fertilizer, ammonium nitrate must be used together with potassium sulfate and superphosphate.
