If the strawberries have pleased you with an excellent harvest, then it is worth “thanking” them for this with quality care.
And if there were few fruits, then care is definitely needed. It all comes down to the fact that strawberries need more attention in the summer.
In July-August, it is necessary to trim the runners of strawberries. Bushes that are 3-5 years old actively grow runners after fruiting.
Plants spend a lot of resources on this. Therefore, gardeners take pruning shears and remove the tendrils.
Before this, it would not hurt to fertilize. For 1 sq. m., add a mixture consisting of superphosphate (40–60 g), ammonium nitrate (20–30 g) and potassium chloride (15–20 g).
It is also worth loosening the soil between the rows to a depth of 10 cm and next to the strawberry bushes.

Strawberry care lasts almost the entire season. August is often hot and dry.
This means that strawberries cannot be left without watering. Drooping bushes with dried foliage must be watered.
