The Secret Ingredient for Lush Blooms

For good growth of violets you need:

• high-quality plastic pots, since ceramics are contraindicated for them;
• suitable soil - the most suitable is deoxidized peat.

If you already have these two ingredients, it's time to find the third, the secret ingredient.

At the bottom of each pot, you need to pour crushed polystyrene foam. Pieces of 1x1 cm will do, which need to be spread out quite tightly in the flowerpot to about a third of its volume.

This is done to protect the flower's root system from overcooling. At the same time, the foam will not interfere with the root system.
