Grapes are a garden crop that can attract pests with its sweet fruits.
That is why it is so important to know which insect pests pose the greatest threat to grapes.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told us about the pests we should know about in order to take timely measures.

According to the expert, there are three most dangerous parasites for grapes.
Felt tick
These insects prefer to attack grapes when their young leaves open.
Usually the mite overwinters at the base of the buds, but when the air temperature begins to exceed 15 degrees, it approaches the leaves, which it begins to eat.
Spider mite
This parasite reproduces during the period when the grapes are already covered with leaves.
Spider mite attacks initially appear as white dots on the green mass of the crop, but these dots subsequently turn into painful spots.
Microscopic scale insects
These pests are small, their body length is only 5 millimeters. However, they are capable of densely covering grapes.
Scale insects are the most dangerous parasites, because they are almost invisible on the affected plant.
