Spring is just around the corner, but some gardeners' seedlings look pitiful.
Perhaps you are overfertilizing it.
After all, some mistakes with feeding can ruin the harvest, and it is better to know about them in advance.
Immediately after sowing, seedlings are not fed. The seeds have just sprouted, the roots are still weak.
It would be a mistake to add nitrogen or organic matter at this point. The plant will get burned and die.
Wait 7-12 days for the first true leaves to grow.
The sprout should grow stronger and reach towards the sun.
After this, water the bed with settled water. Keep the soil moist, but do not flood it.
Before transplanting into the soil, fertilizing is also prohibited.
No additional feeding is needed five days before this.
The seedlings are preparing for transplantation and extra chemicals will be stressful for them, not helpful.
Focus on watering and hardening. Take the pots outside to get used to the wind.
Sick plants require special care. And they don't always need a lot of fertilizing.
Check drainage, remove excess water, give plants some sun.
Fertilizing mistakes are costly, but they are easy to avoid if you use time-tested tips for your plants.
