The first reason is the presence of pests. Most often, fruit trees are inhabited by codling moth caterpillars, plum sawflies or thick-legged caterpillars, as well as leafhoppers and flower beetles.

The second reason is diseases. In this case, only preventive treatment of plants in early spring is recommended, since cherry trees cannot be treated during flowering.

Also, the ovaries fall off due to a lack of moisture, nutrients and the absence of insects. In the latter case, this option can be discarded if you have planted a self-pollinating cherry variety.

Weather conditions also affect plant growth. In particular, an abundance of rain or a sudden return of frosts also lead to the ovaries falling off the trees.
