Recently, arugula has become increasingly popular among gardeners, but this plant is still unfairly ignored.
However, many experts advise summer residents to grow arugula first and foremost on their plots.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained what exactly is unique about this plant and why it is worth paying attention to.

According to the expert, arugula is extremely beneficial for humans.
What is important to remember
Arugula belongs to the Brassicaceae family of crops. Its average height reaches 40-50 centimeters, the leaves are slightly fleshy, dissected.
Most often, this plant is used in cooking because of the piquant taste of its green mass.
Thus, young arugula leaves have a mild taste with a slight bitterness. They are usually added to salads and meat dishes.
Important note: Arugula is a natural source of iodine. Eating it strengthens blood vessels, lowers cholesterol in the blood and increases hemoglobin.
