Pimen was born in Egypt. At a young age, he and his brothers Anuvius and Paisius went to a monastery.

The relatives were initially completely immersed in religious beliefs. They became great prayer warriors and fasting people, but Pimen stood out even against their background.

It was Pimen, who was destined to become a saint, who was extremely virtuous and in the end he became completely dispassionate towards worldly goods.

At the same time, the believer was distinguished by his extraordinary attentiveness to people, especially those in need.

It was for this reason that Pimen was most often approached for help and advice of one kind or another. In the end, he raised and nurtured a great many spiritual children.

However, despite his kindness, he was quite strict with himself, but kind to the people around him. He left behind a great many valuable instructions.

Pimen eventually died at the age of 110. He died peacefully in his bed.
