The US Secretary of State has spoken out about a possible conflict in Taiwan.
According to Antony Blinken, such a situation will inevitably affect the entire world.
A representative of the American authorities made this statement following a meeting in Manila, TASS reports.

The meeting, which was attended by the Secretary of State, was held in the 2+2 format. The American side, in addition to Blinken, was represented by Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, and the Philippine side was represented by Foreign Minister and Defense Minister Enrique Manalo and Gilberto Teodoro.
“70% of the world’s semiconductor production capacity is concentrated in Taiwan,” Blinken recalled in his speech.
In addition, approximately half of all container shipping also passes through the Taiwan Strait.
Therefore, if any conflict or crisis occurs affecting the disputed region, it will inevitably impact countries all over the world.
Let us recall that the PRC continues to consider Taiwan one of the provinces of China, while its own administration on the island has existed since 1949.
