The dry cargo ship, which arrived from Russia, was safely refloated in Istanbul. RIA Novosti reports the details, citing the Turkish Coast Guard Directorate General.

The unpleasant incident occurred on Friday, June 28. The scene of the incident was the Sea of Marmara off the coast of the Yesilköy district.

It is noted that at the specified location, the dry cargo ship Lady Ayana, which was transporting wheat, ran aground.

It is also known that after some time, the Turkish Ministry of Transport came to the rescue. It sent a boat and a tugboat to the site.

According to the coast guard, the people on the watercraft were evacuated, and the dry cargo ship was towed to a more favorable location.

It was also noted that before the work was carried out, specialists assessed the damage to the transport.
