The European Union has decided to extend personal sanctions against more than two thousand individuals and organizations.
According to Brussels, they may be involved in undermining the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.
The EU decision stresses that the restriction will remain in force until March 15, 2025, as reported by the Official Journal of the European Union.

Personal restrictions on 2.2 thousand Russian citizens and organizations have been in effect since 2014 and are constantly being extended.
This time, the EU did not extend sanctions against former Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin.
In addition, deceased Russians have been removed from the sanctions list.
The prohibitive measures include a number of restrictions: freezing assets in the EU, providing funds to the defendants, and a travel ban.
The Russian Federation believes that it will be able to cope with the wave of increasing sanctions.
