It has become known what initiative the French Minister of Culture is putting forward.
The head of the department insists that entry to Notre Dame Cathedral be made chargeable.
BFMTV reports on Rachida Dati's initiative. However, after the vote of no confidence in the French government, the current Minister of Culture will have to leave her post.

As specified in the publication, Dati has previously come forward with a similar initiative and does not lose hope that her proposal will find support.
The Minister of Culture proposes to introduce a 5 euro entrance fee. According to her calculations, this would bring in an additional 75 million euros annually, which would be enough to maintain and restore all of Paris's ancient churches.
At the same time, the Paris Diocese, Pope Francis, and the Archdiocese of Paris are all against it.
The church ministers reminded that the church serves the mission of accepting all people under its roof without putting forward any conditions for their presence in the church.
