A suspicious letter to French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin was discovered at Le Poste's sorting centre in Longive on Saturday.
Inside the letter, police found black powder, which raised questions.
Details of the incident are revealed by journalists from the newspaper Le Parisien .

Suspicious letter
The letter, intercepted at the sorting center, was offensive in nature.
Police have asked the NRBC-E unit to test the powder found.
Initial studies showed a slight positive reaction for plague.
To confirm or refute the results, the powder was sent to the Pasteur Institute.
Additional test results will arrive on Monday.
The prefecture of Côte d'Or does not rule out that this could be a false positive result.
An investigation has been ordered into this incident.
The Dijon crime department must determine the identity of the author of the letter.
