Israel has struck at Hezbollah members from an unexpected direction.
To do this, the hackers used pagers that militants of the Shiite armed organization use to communicate with each other.
The incident occurred in Dahieh, a suburb of Beirut, Reuters reports.

Here hundreds of people were going about their daily business. Some were buying groceries, some were walking down the street.
Suddenly, some people's pagers began to explode, causing damage to both the owners and those who simply happened to be nearby.
The media points out that, with the help of high-tech influence, individual means of communication have been turned into weapons.
The organization's members hoped that pagers would protect them from wiretapping.
The number of injured has not yet been determined. The number of injured is in the tens, but the total number of victims may reach hundreds.
Israel had dropped leaflets shortly before, urging residents to leave the suburb for their own safety.
As a result, both Hezbollah members and ordinary Lebanese citizens suffered.
