Hurricane Helene Death Toll in US Rises to 116

New details have emerged about the natural disaster that hit the United States.

The hurricane, which has been named "Helen", has already claimed the lives of more than a hundred people.

It is specified that earlier the media reported 111 victims of the hurricane, but now updated information has appeared.

The publication clarifies that the hurricane has already caused widespread destruction in the country and disrupted power supplies.

Authorities say 30 people have died in Buncombe County, a region in North Carolina that is considered the hardest hit by the storm.

In total, 46 people have already died in North Carolina alone. In Florida, where Helen began its march across the country, 13 people have died from the effects of the hurricane.

In South Carolina, the death toll was 27, in Georgia - 25. The hurricane also claimed lives in Tennessee, where 4 people died, and in Virginia, 1 victim was recorded.
