The dog woke up the man with its barking, and he went to check what had upset his pet.
As a result, a resident of the Northern Territory of Australia found himself in front of a meter-long crocodile, which hissed at him.
The man called his wife for help, and together they managed to catch the dangerous reptile, then hand it over to a specialized capture service.
It is unknown how the crocodile managed to get inside the private house, but the man suggested that it could have lived near people for at least two weeks.
Despite the modest size of the discovered reptile, the saltwater crocodile can reach six meters in length, making it the largest of its relatives.
