Doctors investigate mystery illness in southwest Congo after 143 deaths.
A fatal flu-like illness is being investigated in southwest Congo, local authorities said.
Dozens of deaths were reported between November 10 and 25 in Kwango province, an ABC News article noted.

Symptoms reported by the Ministry of Health include fever, headache, cough and anemia.
Deputy provincial governor Remi Saki said between 67 and 143 people had died.
He added that a group of epidemiologists is expected to arrive in the region to take samples and identify the problem.
The population is advised to exercise caution. Contact with dead bodies is prohibited due to the risk of infection.
Congolese authorities have called on national and international partners to provide medical supplies to help combat the crisis.
