Police car crashes into limousine carrying New Zealand PM Lacson

The investigation began after a police car crashed into a limousine carrying Prime Minister Christopher Lacson.

Prime Minister Lacson was riding in a car with Finance Minister Nicola Willis.

The politicians were not harmed, and the police have launched an investigation, the New Zealand Herald article emphasizes.

Police confirmed the crash happened on Wednesday on a stretch of highway that is the main route from the city to Wellington Airport.

The prime minister is in Auckland, where he told reporters that Willis was fine.

A very minor incident, and everything is fine – the Prime Minister described what happened.

He called the crash "a bit of a shock" and added that he was unsure whether the damaged Crown limousine should be written off.

Following this incident, the police launched an investigation as per protocol.
