A powerful hurricane, named Helen, was raging in the United States.

In connection with the rampant elements, conspiracy theories have emerged that rescue services are allegedly trying to harm local residents.

According to The Washington Post , cars with armed militiamen were spotted in areas of North Carolina affected by the disaster.

The locals' opposition was prompted by a series of posts on the social network X, in which Jewish officials were accused of conspiring to hinder the recovery of the affected regions.

That's why the National Guard issued an emergency message on October 12 to all emergency personnel assigned to work in the affected region. The agency called on them to immediately cease all work and leave North Carolina.

After the warning, rescuers stopped clearing roads of fallen trees and went to a safe zone.

A day later, specialists were able to return to their places and continue the fight against the consequences of the disaster.
