The man's target was a store in Tokyo's Ginza district.

The robbery, which took two hours, was committed by the Russian on the night of November 17.

To gain entry, the man made an 80-centimeter hole between the store and the neighboring building.

He then drilled two holes and was able to get to the display cases.

The robber took 14 Rolex and Omega watches worth a total of about 4 million rubles, but forgot his backpack, which was later found by the police.

At first, law enforcement officers thought that there were several robbers.

When they arrested Roman, they were surprised that he had managed to commit such a daring and complex crime on his own.

The Russian was detained at the airport when he was already preparing to leave the country.

The police have not yet found all the stolen watches. The fate of 12 accessories remains unknown.

During interrogation, the Russian said that he came to Japan as a tourist and wanted to see the sights.
