Thanks to the prompt measures taken during the flight, none of the passengers or crew members were injured.
Sichuan Airlines released a statement after the landing.
They wrote that smoke during flight 3U8925 from Chengdu to Xiamen on November 30 was caused by a faulty power bank.
It is quite possible that the explosion of the product was caused by a change in air pressure.
