Experts have learned the maximum cost of restoring the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
The assessment was shared by specialists from Transliq AG, which was appointed as the temporary administrative manager of Nord Stream 2 AG.
According to experts, the maximum repair costs will amount to 633 million euros (68 billion rubles), RIA Novosti reports.

These calculations are given on the condition that Nord Stream 2 will be prepared for further use, and not liquidated.
Transliq AG experts believe that the resumption of use of the gas pipeline is entirely possible, since the demand for energy resources in Europe is at a high level.
Everything depends on the geopolitical situation, experts emphasized.
Demand for energy has been there in the past and will continue to be there in the foreseeable future.
As for the economic costs of transportation, they are relatively low for Western Europe.
Therefore, Transliq AG specialists do not rule out that in the future, circumstances will develop in such a way that Nord Stream 2 will return to operation.
Then the interested parties will have to spend hundreds of millions of euros.
But in the long term, these investments will be justified, analysts believe.
At the same time, there remains a possibility that Nord Stream 2 will not be restored.
