Kazakhstani media reported that nearly three hundred schoolchildren were taken to hospital with poisoning.
The incident, in particular, was recorded in the settlement of Besshoky in the Mangistau region. The said region is the southwest of the country.
As of today, 222 schoolchildren are being treated at home, 67 children have been hospitalized, two of whom were placed in the intensive care unit, as reported by TASS .
The regional authorities also spoke out regarding the situation that has arisen.
Critical incident
As the head of the Mangistau region Nurdaulet Kilybay explained, the victims are provided with maximum support in medical institutions.
The official also assured the public that there are enough hospital beds for poisoned children.
It is also emphasized that local authorities are taking all necessary measures to resolve this situation.
Patients experience abdominal pain and increased body temperature.
