According to the department's report, the shooting took place on the territory adjacent to the colony.
A junior inspector of Correctional Colony No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for Tatarstan heard a sound similar to a gunshot.
He immediately went outside to check the security situation.
The inspector saw two men fighting with each other.
One of them was holding an object in his hand that resembled a pistol.
