A powerful explosion occurred at a gas station in Dagestan.
The incident occurred in the suburbs of Makhachkala on Friday, September 27, at approximately 17:30 (Moscow time).
An explosion occurred on the territory of a gas station, after which a fire started, RIA Novosti reports.
There are casualties and fatalities. According to preliminary data, four people were killed, including one child (according to the disaster medicine center and the acting Minister of Health of Dagestan).
The number of injured is being clarified. Ambulance crews and rescuers have arrived at the scene.
The victims are receiving medical assistance, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations is putting out the fire.
In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers arrived at the scene of the emergency. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The incident occurred on the way out of Makhachkala towards the village of Novy Khushet.
In August 2023, a gas station exploded in Makhachkala. The tragedy killed 37 people and injured 119.
