The suspect is charged with a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, with up to ten years of imprisonment.

Presumably, he is charged in the case as the commander of an airborne assault regiment.

The investigation plans to petition the 235th Garrison Military Court to select a preventive measure for him.

Sources say the officer is suspected of large-scale theft. However, the amount involved is not disclosed.

In 2021, the accused was recognized as the best commander of the airborne assault regiment. In 2022, he received the military rank of "Guard Colonel" ahead of schedule.

Later he was appointed commander of the Ussuri separate airborne forces unit.

In 2023, the officer was sanctioned by the United States due to events in Ukraine and was detained by the FSB in 2024.

A Lipetsk machine tool builder who had previously left for Armenia was suspected of large-scale theft .
