The Ministry of Education and Science confirmed the death of Oleg Churilov, Director of the Department for the Development of Technological Entrepreneurship, in a Telegram channel.
His death was reported in connection with a traffic accident that occurred in Moscow.

The ministry said without giving details that Churilov tragically passed away on December 12.
The department's statement emphasized that he made a major contribution to ensuring Russia's scientific and technological sovereignty.
According to sources, it is likely that the car could have hit Churilov. He died as a result of the injuries he received.
The circumstances of the fatal accident are currently being clarified.
