The Basmanny Court of Moscow has published information about the extension of the arrest of the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Krasnodar Krai, Sergei Simonenko.
It is indicated that Simonenko is accused of committing murder, as well as the destruction of someone else's property.
The relevant resolution states: “The petition to extend the arrest has been granted,” as reported by TASS .
It is reported that the accused is charged with multiple criminal offenses.
Case details
In particular, the defendant is charged with attempted murder of a helpless person and organizing a murder as part of a group of people.
In addition, the defendant is accused of organizing an attempt on someone else’s property and its subsequent destruction.
As previously stated, Simonenko was detained and taken to Moscow at the end of July of this year.
Law enforcement officials claimed that they were investigating the accused's involvement not only in the murder of a person, but also in organizing the arson.
