The man from the Central Asian country who planned the crime was detained. A criminal case was opened against him under the article "Terrorist act".
Details of the incident
As it became known to the special services, the detainee was a member of one of the international terrorist organizations.
In order to promote the ideas of this organization, the terrorist conducted reconnaissance of the area and drew up a plan to implement his plans.
The man acquired the materials necessary to carry out an attack on a Christian church in Maikop, with which he planned to set fire to the religious building.
The criminal also planned to kill clergymen and film the terrorist attack for further distribution on the Internet.
It is noted that after implementing his plans, the terrorist planned to flee abroad.
