It turned out that on Tuesday evening the bodies of two girls, aged 2 and 5, were found in one of the apartments in Tolyatti.
The children died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
In connection with the death of two minors, a criminal case has been opened under paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Investigators are checking a 13-year-old girl for involvement in the crime.
She has currently been taken to a psychiatric hospital, where an examination is scheduled.
Investigators are currently continuing to question witnesses and collect evidence.
