The Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Dagestan reported that in the region a man suspected of murder began shooting at police officers with a gun.
It is emphasized that in this way the man prevented his arrest.
The agency writes on its official Telegram channel: “The troublemaker is a resident of the Buinaksk region of Dagestan.”
The above-described incident occurred in the village of Verkhneye Kazanishche.
Furious protest
The police also stated: “As a result of this incident, no police officers were injured.”
It is reported that the murder, in which the man is suspected, took place the day before in the village of Verkhneye Kazanishche in Apakai-tal.
According to the investigation, the suspect fired a shotgun at his opponent, who was a 24-year-old local resident.
The young man died from the wound he received. The criminal grabbed the lifeless body, threw it into a ravine and left the scene.
As the police reported, the troublemaker is currently charged with murder and attempted assault on the lives of law enforcement officers.
